Valentine’s Day is perhaps the most romantic day of the year. For a woman, it is the day in which her man is supposed to cater to her and show her how much he cares. For a man, it is a day full of financial expenditures and romantic mush that he could go a lifetime without. Unfortunately if that man wants to remain in the good graces of his woman, then he had better be prepared for this romantic day. For any man who needs a little assistance, the following are some great ideas on what to get your wife, fiance, or girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.
1. Flowers. Flowers are always a great idea on Valentine’s Day. They help to get the day started out right for your lady. No matter if you decide to order her a dozen red roses, or a dozen arrangements of red roses, make sure that you include a special note, and that the flowers get delivered to her office. That way, the people at the office will have something to talk about which will make her feel special.
2. Scrap Book. Scrap books are the latest and greatest things that women are into. If you don’t know how to do one, get one of her friends, your sister or her sister, or some other woman you know to put together a scrap book of your relationship. Be sure to gather all the pictures that you have of the two of you, mementoes that you’ve kept from some of your dates and outings, and special cards you’ve given her to put into the scrap book. Give it to her on Valentine’s Day with a box of Kleenex and be ready as she lets out Niagara Falls.
3. Hand Written Love Letter. These are always great and most men never do one for their significant other. If you can pull this one off, you may not need anything else on Valentine’s Day.
4. Jewelry. You can never go wrong with jewelry. However, you must know her taste so allow her mother, sister, or best friend to help you pick out the right piece of jewelry for her. This is also a great time to propose marriage if your relationship is ready.
5. A Gourmet Meal At Home. As much as women like going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day, they also enjoy eating in. Cook your significant other a gourmet meal right out of her kitchen or yours. If you can’t cook, hire a chef for the evening. Many of the culinary schools have student chefs that can be hired at reasonable prices. Just make sure that you set the atmosphere for a lovely dinner for two at home.
6. Do Everything. If you really want to go all out, do a combination of all of the previous 5 suggestions. Your wife, fianc, or girlfriend will want to kiss you from head to toe if you do. But beware: if you are trying to do this to win the heart of a girl that does not truly love you, it will backfire so only do the combination of gestures for a lady that you know really loves you.
Sheila Dollarsby always looks forward to receiving flowers from her husband from 1800 Flowers. He has sent her a floral arrangement from 1800 Flowers on Valentine’s Day every year for the past 10 years; he usually sends at least a dozen pink roses and a box of chocolates to her with a beautiful hand written card.
